Educational Psychology Services Across the South West
Supporting schools, families and young people across Somerset, Devon and the South West. Compass Educational Psychology offers a range of independent psychological services, from in-depth assessments to whole-school consultations, clinical supervision and staff wellbeing support.
Supporting children, young people and schools across the UK
Compass Educational Psychology offers independent psychological support to schools and families across the UK. Whether you’re a school, a parent, or looking to book training or CPD, we’re happy to have an informal conversation before any commitment is made.
Schools & Education
Compass Educational Psychology works with maintained and independent schools across the South West of England, with virtual appointments available nationwide. We offer a collaborative, solution-focused service to help identify barriers to progress and build on children’s strengths.

Parents & Families
Compass Educational Psychology welcomes direct referrals from families and is happy to discuss concerns informally before any assessment is arranged. If an independent assessment isn’t the right option, we’ll help point you towards the services and organisations best placed to support your child.

Psychological Assessments
Each assessment is tailored to the individual child or young person, drawing on observations, consultation, and a range of standardised and informal assessment tools. Every assessment concludes with a detailed written report identifying the child’s strengths, needs and barriers to learning, alongside practical recommendations for home and school.

Training & CPD
Dr Pierre Court is available to deliver evidence-based training and CPD for professionals, based on his published research into adolescents and social media. Delivered as a flexible one-day course, this training gives professionals a practical toolkit for understanding and supporting young people’s relationship with social media.
